Wuhan Poly • Ease And Echo Demonstration Zone

The project is located in the Zhuodaoquan area of Wuhan, China, bordered by the East Lake Tourist Resort to the north and the waters of South Lake to the south, while being adjacent to several universities. The design aims to bridge the serene forest space with modern urban life, striking a balance between a relaxed resort atmosphere and the bustling cityscape.



The "more open, more diverse, and more relaxed" concept was manipulated in design, placing the landscape at the forefront and allowing the architecture to recede into the background. Utilizing the natural terrain, this project was created into a therapeutic residential environment known as "Ease And Echo", preserving a tranquil retreat where "verdant growth abounds, and spring mountains are within sight" amid the city.



The entrance to the project unfolds as a seamless green urban interface. Instead of using a conventional wall, a scenic wall was introduced to match the lush floral borders, forming a natural screen. The entryway, half-hidden amid dense foliage, was created into a hidden gateway to an open garden along the street. As you steps inside, a picturesque waterfront park lifestyle unfolds before your eyes, complete with sheltered corridors, cascading waterfalls, rare tree species, and a courtyard-style garden framed by nearly 1,000 tons of natural stone - a hidden retreat amidst the city's heart.



All elements of the design are dedicated to restore the authentic purity of nature. Spreading branches, flourishing greenery, carefree swimming fish, and the gentle rhythm of rain on banana leaves come together to create a living environment that soothes and heals all who reside within.
