Yongyang International Hotel

The project is located in the ancient city of Handan, and the word “Handan” has been used as a place name for 3,000 years, which is a special case of Chinese place name culture. Handan was written as Gandan before the Warring States period. The sun rises over the horizon called Gan, the sun sets over the horizon called Dan. Handan is the place where the sun rises and sets, so in the use of color, the use of red, a symbol of good luck in the hearts of Chinese people. The design inspiration was extracted from the magnificent Wenming Hall, integrating traditional Chinese elements into modern design techniques, but not deliberately pursuing the form, but highlighting a mood and and spirit of traditional Chinese culture. The difference between here and other hotels is that the tone is not a thousand pigmented colors, but the use of gold and red and green accents, these colors create an auspicious, atmospheric pouring of imperial grandeur and magnificence. We did not use luxurious and extravagant special materials, but dug deep into the local culture and attributes, we found that the investor is a manufacturer of special steel metal components, so we collected a lot of leftover materials from the factory, through the clever design and combination of designers, to make a lot of unexpected and unique art installations, such as the flower modeling on the wall of the lobby on the first floor, and the background of the service desk. For example, the flowers on the wall of the first floor lobby and the metal mosaic on the backdrop of the service counter, have been designed and combined to create many unexpected and unique art installations, such as the flowers on the wall of the first floor lobby and the metal mosaic on the backdrop of the service counter. The rational use of materials in this project, as the material basis of the space, can be summarized in the aesthetic spirit of Mr. Zong Baihua's phrase “Seeing the infinite in the finite, and returning to the finite in the infinite”.
