Comply with the development of emerging science and the demand of high-technology, Shanghai Innovation Institute has taken on the important task of cultivating high-quality technological professionals for the society. Unlike the single functional requirements of traditional college buildings, the overall architectural design consists of diverse and efficient modular spaces. With the central axis entrance lobby and three cross-floors large sky lobbies as the core, the internal space is shaped into a complex educational center with clear circulation and flexible layout. During the preliminary design phase, the client hoped to present an international - visioned innovation - intelligence institute as a whole: "Apart from fulfilling the functionality, the building can reflect the design of a sense of technology from the external structure to the internal space, while at the same time reflecting that the College of Intelligent Intelligence is a higher education institution with both scientific research spirit and humanistic warmth." For this reason, HIGHTHINK's Smart Design Research Lab, with collaborate design firm, has concretized the space design based on the institute spirit of "Co-creation, Sharing, Inclusiveness", making the rational functional layout vividly presented. The design presents the distinctive features unique to the brand-new institute: diverse learning spaces, common social spaces, flexible working environments, digital intelligence, and sustainable development. Within the visual language system of the interior, we construct the language of the space through reasonable lines. Color is always the most sensitive elements in aesthetic pleasure. The overall space adopts Morandi tones, which is soft and serene, as if covered with a light veil. The bean paste green is like the tender leaves in early spring, full of vitality. The grayish-blue is like the calm lake water, bringing a sense of peace and relaxation. And the off-white upholstered furniture is like the delicate sandy beach, exuding a warm and rustic atmosphere. We always adhere to high standards and strict requirements, striving to infuse this international and innovative research institute with unique charm and vitality.
