Mate Cat is tailored for people with Alzheimer's disease and other individuals who require emotional support to alleviate their loneliness and avoid the hassles of feeding real pets. This robotic pet cat simulates real cats' behaviors to provide a real cat-like interaction experience through sensitive interaction. Besides, it helps exercise patients' cognitive abilities and reaction time to maintain brain activity and delay physical decline.
Mate Cat has touch points in the head, back, and chest, with each point triggering different feedback combinations, such as meowing, purring, tail wagging, or head swinging. Each feedback occurs with a different probability, thus bringing unpredictable interaction experiences. These diverse feedback mechanisms ensure a novel interaction each time, making this robotic pet cat a long-lasting companion.
Mate Cat comes with three power modes: off, mute, and on. When set to ON mode, this robotic pet cat responds to users' strokes and switches to automatic running mode (making a sound or motion actively in this mode) if not being touched within 15 seconds. If there is no interaction in three minutes, it will turn to energy-saving SLEEP mode and wake up once being touched again.
Regarding the hardware design, Mate Cat applies a Type-C charging port, with the red light indicating charging status and the green one informing the fully-charged status. It has a built-in 4,000 mAh lithium battery that lasts up to 18 hours, allowing care-free long-time interaction. In addition, this robotic pet cat utilizes high-quality materials such as PET, ABS plastic, soft rubber, acrylic, polyester fiber, and silicone to enhance its overall durability and make it more realistic and vivid.
