Yunxi Shuanggu

This project is a club designed by the designer Zhu Yunfeng, which is located on the shore of Lake Taihu—Yixing, it’s a landscape city famous for its pottery Purple Sand. Upon entering the lobby, the local Jun ware art installation shows "The Beauty of Rational Sensibility," stands in an orderly manner. The extracted elements of Eastern nature add a rhythm of ease and flexibility. Through the flowing water feature on the ground, it reflects a spirit world that is inherently harmonious and natural. As far as the eyes can see, the entire floor of the hall is paved with locally produced ceramic slabs, exuding a tranquil depth akin to still waters. The walls are extensively clad in exquisitely textured natural wood, setting the tone for the main space and thereby encapsulating the cultural essence of the Taihu Lake region, a freshness and elegance that transcends time. The theme of "landscape city" strives to break through the limitations of materials and forms, contemplating the abstract expression of Eastern artistic conception in the context of the times, and reconstructing an Eastern space that aligns with international and contemporary aesthetics. In a city blessed with exceptional natural landscapes, using reinforced concrete to create mountains and waters, one constructs an inclusive Eastern spirit. With mountains and valleys in one's heart, one's brush will naturally depict landscapes. It is a place where one can completely relax both body and mind. The design abandons the traditional functional zoning of a club and centers around the user, specially creating a leisure club space. It also integrates outdoor landscaping with open and transparent porch designs, breaking down the boundaries between spaces and allowing the natural ambiance to flow freely. With every step, the scenery changes, creating an illusion as if in a fairyland.
