Zhangye City Olympic Forest Park

This project revolves around the theme of “integrating forestry with tourism and being concerned about nature.” It is committed to carefully constructing plant habitats, introducing cutting-edge bionic design concepts, inheriting the profound historical culture of the Hexi region, integrating the essence of diverse cultures, and striving to create a comprehensive botanical garden that combines ecological balance, cultural heritage, and pleasant recreation.
The design concept centers on “seed germination and growth,” symbolizing the endless continuation of life and the close connection between the city and nature. The botanical garden is like a seed of urban life, condensing Zhangye’s unique natural landscape, gathering plant germplasm resources suitable for local growth, continuing the context of regional culture, and maintaining the city's natural vitality.
The overall planning layout takes the second phase of Heihe Ecological Park as the core land. The layout of the site is inspired by scattered colorful seeds, which are skillfully connected through branches and leaf veins to outline the meridians of life. Plan characteristic tour routes, integrate nature and culture, and set cultural display nodes. Create a variety of plant space experiences and introduce bionic concepts to create habitats. With supporting interactive spaces that emphasize participation and fun. Integrating the memory of the ancient city and diverse cultures, focusing on ecological sustainable development, it provides an ideal place for Zhangye citizens and tourists to be close to nature, experience culture and enjoy life.
