2024 Lukang Light Art

The Lukang Small Town Light and Shadow Art Festival, held during the traditional Dragon Boat Festival, masterfully combines the essence of this cultural season, a renowned Japanese IP, and the rich heritage of Lukang. Illuminations span the town, creating a breathtaking 1.5-kilometer “sky lantern corridor.” In addition, multiple installations featuring the beloved Sumikko Gurashi characters are seamlessly integrated into the local landscape, with carefully selected visuals harmonizing with the surroundings. These familiar characters invite visitors to explore the hidden beauty of Lukang. This grand project illuminates over 5 kilometers of streets and riverbanks, contributing significantly to Lukang’s annual tourism boom, drawing over a million visitors to experience its charm.
