Vanke Active Planet

The project is located in an community in Hangzhou where is remote and small. The overall atmosphere of the community is quiet and indifferent which needs us to break the status quo through unconventional design. As a result, we launched the “Vanke Active Planet” plan, an all-new future community with children's play space as the core to inspire community energy and built an all-age interactive community.



We selected a core group that is the kids, a group of future. The design centered on children's activities is like a stone falling onto the originally peaceful community lake to ripples. The “ripples” later integrate youth sports, elderly fitness and parent-child interaction.



The traditional kids’ playground is neither allowed parents participation nor interacting with the natural environment. What’s more, aesthetic and imagination abilities will not be improved in the traditional kids’ playing ground.



So in response to these issues, we refined three key words to solve, which is “nature, interaction and art.” Combined the landscape space and amusement equipment on the site, the real natural scene experience is restored. Then, we develop parent-child game equipment, such as parent-child slides, swings, sand dredgers, interactive waterwheels, interactive fitness walls and insect hotels etc, all of which are open and all-aged as the standard and are designed based on abstract lines. To create the shape, the art and beauty of the equipment, we create a rich interactive experience of children's play and integrate art into life.



In addition, the landscape living room, children's playground, community fitness space and forest leisure space are connected by an active ring, which is suitable for people of all ages. People could get multiple pleasant and vivid experiences in walking, playing games, chatting, connecting with nature……and finally creating their own memory events.
