Home is a vessel of emotions, and for this couple who have shared over two decades together, its evolution reflects their journey through time. From their early days to lively years with parents, and now to quiet companionship after the elders’ passing, their home has transformed alongside their lives. Each design detail embodies their care for family and each other. As their home returned to a space for two, their relationship grew more thoughtful. With a live-in housekeeper, the home has taken on a new form.

The original three-bedroom layout was redesigned into four bedrooms, two living rooms, and three bathrooms, offering private spaces for the couple and housekeeper. The tea room, elevated into a wooden "box" with tatami floors and underfloor heating, became their favorite retreat for fish watching, incense burning, and tea tasting. The open-plan public area feels spacious, with a minimalist TV wall and wooden floor tiles exuding elegance. Delicate carvings and sheer curtains add artistic, cozy touches.

The semi-open tea room and dining area enhance connectivity, becoming the heart of family life. The couple enjoys hosting friends around the dining table, sharing meals while admiring the lively fish tank—a dynamic "painting" fostering emotional connections. The kitchen’s open design blurs boundaries, with a black stone island and fire-brick tiles offering warmth and practicality.

Due to differing schedules, two separate suites were designed. The lady’s bedroom exudes oriental elegance, with forest views and a serene canopy bed. The bathroom’s glass brick wall illuminates a wisteria-embedded mirror cabinet, adding warmth to daily routines. The gentleman’s bedroom features teak wood tones and a Bauhaus-style leather-woven bed, reflecting his rugged yet refined taste.

This home, reimagined from its past, radiates new brilliance, narrating the couple’s beautiful daily life. Every corner, from the tranquil tea room to the artful living space, tells a story of love, care, and timeless elegance.
