This design project combining the modern purity and the warm texture of woods starts a happy story of home space.



The apparent floor-to-ceiling windows in the public area make the gorgeous outdoor scenes flow naturally in the residence. The open island counter and the big dining room intensify the reunited sense in the public area where encloses a strong emotional connection. Regarding the study room, the designer applied the design skill of overlying on the boundary between the public and private area. It is both a hall and a study room, where the semi-transparent sliding door makes the arrangement of space more flexible.



To improve the indoor air quality, the designer installed the home with the energy recovery ventilation exchanging the exhaust indoor air for the fresh outdoor air, thus generating the air circulation even without opening the windows. As to the use of materials, the designer used numerous eco-friendly and healthy materials encompassing the natural stones, wood veneers, solid woods, etc. The entire natural wood oils and paints with green building material label. The low-formaldehyde wood sheets, the eco-friendly engineered flooring, and the LEDs as the only indoor illumination altogether make this home a perfect example a healthy and eco-friendly residence.



By the arrangement of space and layout, the home design integrating the local environment extends the indoor space to the greatest extent. The natural elements can flow smoothly in the residence, in which an adequate daylight and fresh air benefit the mental and physical health. The residents feel calm and peaceful. The home design reduces the usage of artificial light and the waste of electricity. The design project advocates the concept of green decoration as its core value. The entirety including the space arrangement, traffic flows, illuminations, wood sheets, eco-friendly paints, and electrical equipment conforms to the idea of green environment that supports energy saving and reduces carbon emission. Therefore, the residents can live in a home relaxing their minds and bodies. Further, this is the home ensuring a sustainable environment.
