China has a large population, so its leisure-food market is as significant. Bestore is one of the biggest snack producers, with over 3000 physical stores and more than 1800 SKU of snacks. In 2019, Bestore positioned itself as a high-end brand of leisure food, striving for better quality and taste and suitable packaging design. Therefore, a system that fits in 1800 products will be critical to the whole shaping process of a high-end brand. We lay down a necessary regulation, leading the brand to stand out from its competitors.
This case is no simple as any cases we have done before, challenging yet significant. By analyzing the brand and its previous selling performance, the 1800 kinds are categorized into six sections and 11 series, to be present in the POS terminal in a well-organized, distinguishable, and informative way.
The 11 series will be showcased in a rainbow way, as their colors differentiate. Meanwhile, the elaborate section of material and printing craft help the 1800 products to distinguish from each other yet in a systematic way. The tick shape endows them all with an identity of Bestore members, and the falling food enhances the alluring effect. Eighteen labels are created to tell their flavors, and a precise layout is made to regulate the products’ information. All these efforts are made to accommodate the immensity of packaging design in this case. Under regulations, great designs can be unlimited.
Packaging material is mostly cardboard and PET laminating film. The printing of colors and making the texture are both strictly controlled or supervised by our design team. As a result, the rainbow effect is now nearly correctly shown in Bestore online and offline.
