With the design concept of regaining old memories and exploring the future of city, the sales center in Nanxiang shows respect to the local history, humanity and material while meeting the functional and experience need of space. The interior design discovers and refines the historical inheritance to create a rich space experience through modern aesthetic technique, forming a picturesque scene in the window frame.

The outdoor landscape is extended to the interior naturally through the blank space behind the reception desk at the main entrance of lobby, and a framed landscape is formed through the partition walls, like a picture scroll of the sky. The sand table area is connected vertically with the second floor, where the arc-shaped ceiling constructs the the stone gate of Shikumen Residence, revealing the atmosphere of old Shanghai. The internal negotiation area is connected horizontally through the representative window form, creating a flexible space for exploration and discovery.

The variability of space is fully integrated with the layered pavilion characteristics of the well-preserved Tang-style building, allowing people walking in the space to have a connection across the space and time. The hand-made wooden art installation in the hollow space comes from the deconstruction and understanding of the common objects in the past, and the reorganization conveys infinite ideas for the future. Even the hand-crafted pieces that seem to be randomly placed reflect the attitude of observing details in life and love for life, interpreting people's memories and explorations of life.

In the negotiation and bar area, a sunken landscape sofa area is featured to give people an immersive sightseeing experience, which is achieved by the the height difference. The design aims to create the best human-based experience, where the reading, tea or coffee tasting has become a suitable situation of the entire space. When viewing the outdoor from there, what comes to the mind is not only the scenery but also the dream and old memory. The wall uses wood surface without artificial color treatment, keeping the original wood color to create a welcoming feeling.
