PRIVATE MANSION

The project is located at the corner intersection of Qianfeng Road and Wayao Street in Wanbailin District, adjacent to Taiyuan University of Technology, which is a cultural and educational center. As the primary interface to showcase the temperament of the project, the design takes the architectural facade with great visual tension as the starting point of spatial narration, and awakens people's desire to explore the site through modern design techniques.

Taiyuan, as the birthplace of Jinyang culture, its ancient architectural complexes carry profound historical heritages. The design reconstructs the traditional spatial sequence with modern architectural language. It extracts the horizontally extended linear elements from the spatial rhythm of Jinci Temple and reinterprets the stretching form of traditional architecture through an L-shaped extra-long display surface. The diagonally cut volume at the main entrance is carefully designed and wrapped with champagne-colored aluminum panels to create a solemn and grand entrance image, presenting a scholarly and ceremonial atmosphere that can be described by the Chinese saying "Bending over the desk by the window in the sea of knowledge, and the world is at peace". The treatment of the building volume strengthens the visual effect of the contrast between the virtual and the real. The horizontally extended and cantilevered aluminum panels form a delicate interlocking and interpenetrating relationship with the high-transparency ultra-clear glass, jointly creating the light architectural image of the "Floating Box".
