The project is situated in the Fengtai District, one of the six districts that comprise the central area of Beijing. As the capital city during the Ming and Qing dynasties, and continuing for over 600 years after the establishment of PRC, the culture of the Imperial City has profoundly influenced this region. Concepts of power, hierarchy, order, and honor have become integral to the local identity, deeply embedded in the hearts and heritage of its inhabitants. Designed as a commercial space catering to an upscale community, the project delves into the distinctive cultural significance of the area, utilizing Beijing-style architecture as its foundation and aiming to capture the essence of the Imperial City through modern design elements.

In terms of spatial color and material usage, a harmonious blend of gold and dark wood tones is consistently used throughout the design. The use of gold, whether in metallic or lighter shades, subtly yet powerfully conveys the noble qualities of the space, while the deep wood tones impart a sense of depth and stability. This thoughtful integration of color and materials enhances the sense of order and ceremonial atmosphere within the space, establishing the cultural ambiance and emotional resonance of the entire space.

Notably, the ceiling design of the reception lobby features a cloud-like translucent marble that, when paired with a thoughtful lighting strategy, creates a hidden, dream-like visual effect reminiscent of a sea of clouds. This design reflects the esteemed concept of the "unity of heaven and mankind" found in traditional Chinese culture. More importantly, it elevates the entire space from mere figurative symbolism to a spiritual dimension that transcends the material, enriching the area with profound cultural significance and philosophical depth.

In the sand table demo area, the sand table crafted from Smoky River South stone contrasts sharply with the round art glass installation overhead, blending elements of sharpness and delicacy. The cityscapes depicted on the sand table reconcile with the dynamic interplay of light and shadow from the art glass installation, illustrating a transformation from the macro to the micro and embodying a spirit of vitality and innovation.
