TIEN CHIN

Situated in the Jin'an District of Fuzhou, this project benefits from a remarkable ecological environment, characterized by the scenic lakeside of Jin'an Lake and the natural beauty of Gushan Mountain nearby. Inspired from Fujian's rich marine cultural heritage and the project-specific advantageous location, the planning and design focus on local cultural elements, in order to establish Fuzhou's premier high-end residential area that offers lakeside living and a vacation-like experience. The object is to create an exemplary human habitat where people and nature coexist in harmony, achieved through meticulous site design and the seamless integration of regional cultural traits and ecological principles.

In the master planning of the rectangular site, the landscape design revolves around two dynamic pathways, the first is a linear axis that enhances the experience of returning home through clear orientation and a ceremonial feel, emphasizing spatial order and dignity; the second is a curvilinear pathway inspired by the aesthetics of ocean waves, utilizing the Fibonacci spiral as a design framework to reflect the natural world's growth patterns, crafting a distinctive lakeside island atmosphere. This curvilinear movement continues the cultural veins of the site, attaining a harmonious blend of ecological beauty and functional requirements through the use of natural forms.

The entrance area features a hotel-style traffic circle with a water element that fosters a profound sense of homecoming rituals through its dynamic water displays and lighting effects. As one enters the community, the expansive lakeside water court becomes visible, seamlessly blending the essence of life rituals and reverence into the everyday experience of lakeside living. The landscape elements are woven together with the overhead space, forming a multifunctional living environment that adheres to hotel-like design standards. This includes various functional areas such as an underwater lounge and an outdoor fitness bar, catering to the diverse needs of residents across all age groups. The design incorporates the earth art to mimic the green waves of the lake, creating a contrast that harmonizes the wild chaos of nature with the geometric order of human-made structures, achieving a balance between the natural world and humanity.
