Future Water World: A Poetic Vision of Light and Shadow in the City of Tomorrow
Located at the intersection of Yixin Road and Zhongshan Road in Kaohsiung’s urban core, adjacent to the heart of the New Bay Area, a soaring 29-story skyscraper rises like a shimmering bubble, quietly emerging in the silhouette of the city’s harbor. Inspired by the concept of a “Future World,” the architectural design is further enriched and extended through a lighting design that embodies the imagery of a “Water World.” Using light as its brush and shadow as its language, it weaves a poetic and futuristic symphony. Here, light dances with nature, telling a story of flow, hope, and eternity.
The Rhythm of Light: Architectural Facade Design
The facade lighting design seamlessly blends technology with nature. Through the DMX intelligent control system, the color temperature of the light breathes freely between 1800K and 3000K, gently transitioning between the changes of day and night. At the rooftop, a "Light Box" symbolizes the moon hanging over the heart of the sea. With a 4000K color temperature, it emits a pure moonlit glow, simulating the transition from the warm hues of sunset to the cool blue tones of moonlight. The entire building seems to breathe as naturally as ocean tides.
The Rhythm of Facade Lighting: Each beam of light precisely outlines the building's sleek contours. The flow of light and shadow resembles the moment when rising bubbles meet flowing water—light yet full of vitality. The building becomes a witness to the passage of time, gracefully embodying the rhythm of life.
Dynamic Expression of Light and Shadow:
The gradient lighting design flows seamlessly through the building's varied heights and structures, with dynamic light and shadow interweaving to embody a sense of futuristic technology and the natural beauty of fluidity.
As night falls over the city, the skyscraper resembles a floating bubble in the ocean, with light and shadow gradually spreading like a soft, murmuring melody, narrating the building's elegant journey from the modern era toward the future.
Symphony of Light: The Poetry of Coexistence with Water
Situated near the Kaohsiung harbor, the building’s design draws inspiration from the dynamic beauty of nature and water. The lighting mimics the rising motion of bubbles underwater, with the building’s facade evoking the visual effect of bubbles bursting and faint glimmers flickering, creating a mesmerizing interplay of light and movement.
