Chubby Chair

The word "chubby" carries a warm and welcoming meaning, celebrating the beauty of curves and the appreciation of sinuous bodies. This expression, in a broader context, represents the growing appreciation of body diversity and the encouragement of self-love, challenging the conventional standards of beauty imposed by the media and society. In the world of furniture design, "chubby" highlights the natural sinuosity of shapes, exalting the organicity, authenticity and affection present in the pieces.

The Chubby Chair, which combines retro and contemporary design, is built with native Jequitibá wood, certified and sourced from sustainable forest management, demonstrating a commitment to valuing Brazil's natural resources. This practice is aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 12, which promotes sustainable consumption and production patterns, reinforcing the socio-environmental responsibility of Brazilian design. The combination of manual finishing techniques and the precision of CNC machining allows the creation of broad, sinuous shapes that give personality and emotion to the product, establishing an emotional connection between the user and the furniture.

The use of materials that are abundant in our country reflects the Brazilian essence in the product, such as leather and Jequitibá wood, elements that give a distinct identity to a product with a typically Brazilian character.

Details such as the artistically machined recess on the back add sophistication and functionality, reinforcing the innovation and elegance of the design. The use of abundant and representative materials from Brazil, such as leather and Jequitibá wood, gives the piece a unique and genuinely Brazilian identity, also aligning with SDG 9, which encourages innovation and sustainable industrialization. Thus, the design of Gorducha not only celebrates the beauty of curves, but also invites warmth and comfort, transforming the piece of furniture into a true visual and tactile embrace, full of affection, for those who use it.
