Stepwise Lightscape

The duplex residence boasts extraordinary natural light. The designer cleverly transformed “light” into the soul of the space. Upon entering, the view extends into the living room and the window-side daybed, as the layered circulation design ensures every area is bathed in bright, soft natural light. The staircase was boldly reoriented so that it no longer merely connects the floors—it integrates seamlessly with the TV wall and couch, emerging as a highlight brimming with aesthetic tension. Constructed from perforated steel panels, the staircase significantly enhances the overall brightness.
In terms of style, the designer adopted a carefully harmonized eclectic aesthetic: deep British-inspired blues, elegant neoclassical white paneling, and industrial metal elements coexist across the two floors, each contributing its distinct character. Here, light and space engage in a multi-layered dialogue, rich and harmonious, reflecting the designers’ perfect interpretation of what a “home” should be.
