Straits Nanyang is a soulful reinterpretation of Peranakan heritage through a modern design lens. Inspired by the owner's childhood memories, the home features intricate Peranakan tiles, louvered timber panels, and vintage-inspired accents, seamlessly paired with clean lines and contemporary finishes. The result is an elegant, richly layered space that honours cultural identity while offering refined, timeless living. Every corner tells a story—of legacy, warmth, and design with heart. This project stands out for its ability to balance heritage with modernity, creating a home that is both meaningful and visually captivating.

The Straits Nanyang interior draws heavily from the Peranakan heritage and English influences, seamlessly merging cultural elements with functional design. This design aesthetic brings to life spaces imbued with personality, sophistication, and a distinct charm.

Key features include:

1. Textured Walls and Mouldings: English-inspired wall panels combined with modern materials for a timeless appeal.

2. Heritage Motifs: Incorporating patterns reminiscent of Straits-Chinese architecture to honor its rich past.

3. Eclectic Styling: A mix of antique, vintage furniture, contemporary elements, and natural textures to balance tradition and modernity.
