Positioned as a smart ecological dwelling unit, this house is a nature-responsive ‘breathing organism’, which creates a comprehensive passive energy-efficient system through technical integration, adaptable to diverse scenarios including eco-cities, rural revitalization, and innovative housing development. It strikes a perfect balance among technical sophistication, environmental responsibility, and life aesthetics, providing a forward-looking residential solution to promote sustainable development.
The biggest highlight lies in an innovative combination of a rotatable base and an adjustable sun shade, enabling dynamic interaction between the building and the surrounding environment. The AI-controlled rotatable base automatically calculates the rotation angle based on real-time weather and geographic location, and then precisely adjusts the orientation of the house. The house faces south to get more heat in winter, and orients towards the shaded side in summer to minimize sunlight exposure for reduced indoor temperatures. The adjustable double-layer ventilation sun shade dynamically responds to sun paths across seasons. It blocks direct sunlight into indoor space in summer, and adjusts the angle to assist with indoor heating in winter. A strategically designed ventilation cavity enhances natural ventilation for better indoor air quality.
In addition, the photovoltaic system on the rooftop efficiently converts solar energy into electricity, meeting daily power needs (lighting, electrical devices, etc.). Under optimal sunlight conditions, the house can even achieve energy self-sufficiency. The building envelope employs polyurethane insulation panels with high thermal resistance and excellent moisture-proof properties, effectively blocking heat transfer and indoor-outdoor energy exchange; a lightweight steel frame features superior thermal performance to further improve thermal insulation. This dual approach enables the house to maintain a comfortable living condition all year round.
