ANTA Unveils SKYLINE-III with Cutting-Edge 3D Printed Technology

ANTA is redefining basketball footwear with the launch of the SKYLINE-III, a sneaker engineered with revolutionary "LATTICE" and "Carbon Plate Anti-Torsion" technologies. Designed for the Chinese University Basketball Association (CUBAL), these court-ready shoes promise exceptional rebound and stability.

At the core of the SKYLINE-III is the innovative "Jalactice" midsole, a brand-new 3D printed rebound technology. This is created using Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), an additive manufacturing process that builds the midsole layer by layer. This technique allows for the creation of independent, sealed lattice structures. Within a 3cm section of the midsole, there are 20-28 of these sealed lattices, which generate an air-pressure reaction under force, significantly enhancing feedback and feel on the court.

The performance of the LATTICE technology is impressive, boasting a rebound rate of 72%, which is higher than the 69% of traditional air cushions. Mechanical tests highlight the shoe's durability and resistance to compression, with a compression ratio of less than 10%, a significant improvement over the approximately 35% of standard foam materials. This ensures the SKYLINE-III maintains its high-rebound properties over the long term without rapid deterioration.

In direct comparisons, the SKYLINE-III excels. In mechanical tests against competitor products, it demonstrated a 73% rebound performance and a forefoot rebound speed of 918mm/s. Feedback from six professional CUBAL players from Huaqiao University was overwhelmingly positive. They rated the SKYLINE-III's comfort and forefoot rebound at 5.2, surpassing the competitor Nike GT CUT 3, which scored 4.7.

The use of 3D printing also allows for customization. The structure can be tailored to an athlete's specific force patterns and movement habits, making it ideal for different playing styles, whether the focus is on jumping, breaking through defenses, or lightweight performance.

The SKYLINE-III is available in several colorways, including "China Team," "Sky Blue," "Phantom," and "Tai Chi," each telling a unique story.
