As a key clean energy initiative under Saudi Vision 2030, this project employs the world’s leading H-class heavy-duty gas turbine combined cycle technology, featuring three GE 7HA.03 gas turbines (gross output: 419 MW each) and one 7E.03 gas turbine (gross output: 74 MW). It achieves a total installed capacity of 1,800 MW and a thermal efficiency of over 60%, significantly improving energy efficiency and reducing carbon emissions. Capable of dual-fuel operation, the project enables flexible switching between natural gas and other clean fuels. It also incorporates interfaces for carbon capture, providing technical support for Saudi Arabia’s 2060 Net-Zero Emissions target.
This project adopts a modular layout and an integrated design to enhance space utilization, system stability, and overall coordination. Meanwhile, it optimizes circulation and workflow to ensure excellent operational continuity, high safety, and convenient convenient operation & maintenance. Moreover, critical components are crafted from high-temperature alloys and corrosion-resistant steel materials, complemented by water recycling systems and exhaust gas purification units, aligning well with the principles of sustainability.
In terms of aesthetic design, the project utilizes the consistent color palette and material language (featuring beige, gray-white, and metallic finishes) to echo Saudi Arabia’s natural environment and cultural identity, effectively mitigating the heat island effect and visual pollution. Its modular layout and distinctive style create a modern industrial landscape characterized by a strong sense of order and a high-tech aesthetic. More than just an engineering achievement, the project stands as an aesthetic paradigm of modern industrial design. It seamlessly integrates innovative energy technologies, coordinated engineering systems, and modern design concepts, setting a new benchmark for large-scale clean energy infrastructure.
