The Fu Lu An Kang doormat is a perfect fusion of innovative materials and Eastern aesthetics, creating a home accessory that combines practical performance with artistic value.
The doormat innovatively adds titanium into the yarn, effectively filling the micro-pores on the fiber surface to form a dense protective layer, reducing wear from daily foot traffic. The titanium can absorb ultraviolet rays, helping prevent material photo‑oxidative degradation. Combined with a 12% concentration of anti-aging agents, it achieves long-lasting UV protection. In terms of weaving technique, the fiber is spun into continuous filaments through melt spinning, then subjected to directional stretching and texturizing treatments for high tensile strength, good fluffiness and elasticity, and a comfortable underfoot feel. Furthermore, the bottom features an upgraded titanium velvet pattern, providing excellent anti-slip performance.
Created in collaboration with the Suzhou Museum, the doormat is visually inspired by classic patterns and designs found in the museum’s treasured artifacts, which are reinterpreted through modern design language and transformed into decorative patterns rich in cultural meaning, celebrating unique Eastern aesthetics while conveying auspicious symbolism. Notably, the surface employs computer embroidery and laser engraving techniques to create natural gradients in shading, enhancing its visual depth. The classic red-and-black color scheme, combined with gold-thread embroidered calligraphy, not only maintains the solemn and elegant style of traditional Chinese aesthetics, but also introduces the understated luxury of contemporary design.
