Much like a family, where each member plays a unique role, yet lives together in the same space. Within this shared space, networks of pipes and tubes run quietly throughout—discreetly connecting, silently supporting the harmony and connection among them." Located in a low-density residential building in Kowloon Tong, adjacent to the quiet Broadcast Drive, this apartment has been reimagined by Handover Studio (HOS) to respond to the growing culture of working from home. On the side facing Lion Rock, the design introduces a slender, multifunctional performance area that doubles as a home cinema and live piano space. From here, residents can enjoy panoramic views of Kowloon Tong while immersing themselves in both the tranquility and dynamism of artistic living. To help residents transition from the city's fast pace, a semi-enclosed foyer at the entrance acts as a buffer zone between the outside world and the home. Equipped with concealed shoe cabinets and wardrobes, the foyer offers both practical storage and a calming moment of pause, inviting residents to slow down and reconnect with the warmth of home. The design masterfully delineates the living and dining zones from the private quarters, creating a dedicated performance area within the living room. At its heart, a grand piano stands gracefully, inviting refined musical expression. Lacquer-finished piano doors lead through the foyer, past the staircase, and into the entrance of the performance hall. The iconic silhouette of Lion Rock serves as a majestic backdrop, while natural light cascades through expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, infusing the space with timeless elegance. Beyond its role as a music hall, the living room effortlessly transforms into a spacious library or intimate home cinema, offering versatility to suit evolving lifestyles. Refined Living, Harmoniously Composed Thoughtfully conceived concealed doors subtly delineate the living and lounge areas, forming a fluid, adaptive space that evolves with the cadence of everyday life.
