Tucked into the double-height embrace of Zhongji Wenchang Center, BCO Yangzhou Zhongji is a 500 m² sanctuary of light and texture, where floor-to-ceiling windows flood the space with golden daylight. A palette of low-saturation concrete, pale oak, and off-white sets a serene stage, while cascading ferns, sprawling monstera, and an 1.8-meter living moss wall cool the air by three degrees, creating a breathing oasis amid the urban hum.
The bar is a stage, its matte-black track lighting framing the barista’s pour-over ritual in a cone of theatrical focus. Seating unfolds in three movements: window-side stools for solo work; a communal oak table that splits or extends for gatherings, and a sunken lounge with Moroccan rugs and floor lamps, perfect for evening salons.
As dusk falls, 2700-Kelvin amber light filters through the greenery, casting dappled shadows that transform the room into a hidden greenhouse—a pulse of nature within the city’s concrete core.
BCO is an emerald in the city’s steel ribs. A seven-meter glass vault spills liquid sunlight over the space, dissolving it into soft silhouettes. The timber bar meanders like a river, while the kettle’s silver stream sketches an improvised violin string in midair. The concrete walls soften into warm rice paper, where moss and ferns grow into breathing mountains. Trailing pothos slip downward like starlight smuggled from the clouds.
The long oak table is a nomad’s ark, ever-shifting. The lounge whispers tales beneath its Moroccan rugs. At night, the 2700-Kelvin glow tints every sip in sepia nostalgia. The space plays like a slow-jazz ballad: steel beams keep the rhythm, plants blow the sax, and you—the blue note—wander into the score.
