The outdoor park of the New Taipei City Art Museum is situated on a 13-hectare riverside site at the confluence of the Yingge Creek and the Dahan Creek. Through the revitalization of the park and the local Sanying Art Village, it aims to become a "Museum for All" that connects art with life.
The overall exterior lighting plan is designed to radiate outward from the museum’s architecture, extending the imagery of reeds from the building's design. The lighting environment is planned to incorporate impressions of wind, light, and the local flora and fauna encountered along the waterway. Through light, we aim to extend the artistic atmosphere of the museum into the outdoor space, even during the nighttime.
The lighting design for the New Taipei City Art Museum Outdoor Park incorporates many elements that respond to the environment, such as bionic reed-style landscape lights and dragonfly-pattern projections by the creek. The lighting is not only intended to provide a comfortable light environment but also to engage in dialogue with the surrounding environment.
