"Red Pixel" Themed Installation Series

A modular interactive installation for JD Electronics & Appliances City Flagship Stores bridging technology, lifestyle, and local culture.

The "Red Pixels" is a bespoke interactive installation bridging technology, lifestyle, and local culture with innovative modular design. Centered around JD's signature ‘Red’, this scalable pixel matrix creates an immersive retail space with brand identity and interactive engagement.

Design Innovation:

By merging tech-driven aesthetics with the JD cultural relevance, the series design satisfies the customers’ comprehensive demand of brand identity, characteristics exhibition and local acceptance. The "Red Pixel" redefines experiential retail, driving both engagement and sales.

• Series Design: Centered around elements "pixel," "IP," "JD Red," and "geometry," ensuring cohesive brand storytelling.

• Cutting-edge & standardizing Themes: Each subunit’s theme aligns well with its product

Category, for instance, the "glamping" style theme for mobile devices or the "dopamine rainbow wall" for home appliances section.

• Standardization & localization: A 80% standardized and 20% localized customized model ensures the efficiency of chain replication, while integrating well with the regional dialects and landmarks.

Production & Sustainability:

• Standardization & Disassemblability: Units are fabricated with recyclable, high-performance materials (fiberglass, acrylic, powder-coated metal) for longevity and ease of reassembly with the handy suppliers, avoiding the repeated transshipment.

Measurable Impact

• The unique design enhanced appeal to the ‘under 30s’ young generation and the families (exceeding the proportion of 50% of the store visitors).

The series installation design increased the potential purchase chance, dwell time and spontaneous social media sharing,meanwhile offering customers with the living technology experience

• Average 50M+ network exposure amount per store with the series design installations, amplified the brand impact extremely.

The series installations will be deployed in all the annual plan retail stores, with 25–30 units per design variant.
