With the soaring land prices in urban areas, the increase of flagpole lots is affecting the suburbs as well. This has created challenges where buildings surround the property on all sides, making it difficult to receive light from the southern side, leading to a sense of oppression. To overcome this issue, this subdivision house has adopted a layout plan that differs from traditional floor plans. To bring light into the building, the water-related areas have been placed on the southern side, and a courtyard has been created in the center to invite light into the house. The symbolic tree planted in the courtyard allows for a constant feeling of greenery while staying indoors. Additionally, using the same tiles for the entrance and the courtyard blurs the line between inside and outside, creating a sense of openness. From the living room, the courtyard and entrance can be viewed at a glance, achieving a spacious area that integrates with nature. With wall storage that does not convey a sense of clutter, the kitchen and staircase have also been designed to blend into the space. The half-open staircase and the open area above the stairs create a vertical expansion, alleviating the sense of oppression caused by being surrounded by buildings. Thus, a bright home where light reaches every corner has been completed. This residence, part of the 'B/N series', serves as a simple 'vessel' that eliminates excessive decoration and enhances the individuality of its residents, allowing for a rich living experience.
