The project aims to promote literary and design heritage through relevant technologies. The fur coat was inspired by I.Y. Bilibin's illustrations to A.S. Pushkin's "The Tale of the Golden Cockerel", kept in the Osnova Design Museum collections. Every detail of the fur coat is handmade using tufting and carpet embroidery technologies. Manual tufting is a method in which a product is made by a twisted thread onto a base. The yarn is threaded through the eye of a special "pistol" and punched through the fabric from the inside out, making a progressive movement. The base of the fur coat was carefully reinforced with a silicone coating to preserve the beauty of the product for many seasons to come.
