the Serene Residence

Rooted in the client’s vision of serenity and elegance, this project aims to craft a tranquil space where life and emotions can unfurl and settle without the need for excessive expression. By echoing reflections through mirrors and windows, and weaving together textures and shifting light, the design presents a subtle yet refined sense of living.The textured finishes on the walls reflect the inner preferences and sensibilities of those who inhabit each space.
An open layout connects the heart of the home, easing the transition from the entryway with a suspended and visually permeable cabinet. This design lightens the sense of arrival and allows natural light to flow freely through the corridor and into the living space.
The white marble-veined feature wall introduces the theme of elegance. Mirrors extending onto the ceiling, along with vertical lighting and layered reflections, bring a sense of transparency and lightness to the space. Full-height windows invite an abundance of natural light, while low-saturation furnishings allow the space to breathe—calm yet powerful.
As the embodiment of serenity, the master bedroom features a bedhead wall with hand-applied plaster that, under light, resembles delicate falling snow. This connects seamlessly to the sheer drapery of the window seating area, forming a peaceful corner that encapsulates both serenity and elegance. Black tinted glass for the wardrobe introduces calm sophistication without visual heaviness.
Entering the daughter’s room, one is met with the gentle warmth of a milk tea color palette. The bedhead wall features a white textured finish resembling mountain ranges, paired with reeded glass to create a contrast between delicate and raw materials. This reflects a young girl’s affinity for both nature and urban fashion.
Extending from the dining area’s feature wall in deep gray metallic paint, the son’s room transitions into fair-faced concrete, uniting the spaces with material continuity. This continuation of the serenity theme is enhanced by metal-framed shelves and wardrobes, which sketch a modern, clean-lined, and introspective living environment.
