Landscape is the vessel of life—balancing rationality with warmth, geometric precision with poetic resonance—its restrained form capable of infinite expression. Inspired by Chengdu’s spirit of diversity and inclusivity, the design distills complexity into clarity, shaping a timeless spiritual sanctuary for the city.
Rooted in traditional Chinese garden artistry, the plan adopts a nested “garden-within-a-garden” layout to maximize spatial value. Contemporary aesthetics weave greenery into the central courtyard, creating a shaded botanical oasis.
The entrance reflects Tadao Ando’s modernist minimalism, where exposed concrete imparts a calm, textured character. Ancient pines and a rhythmic sequence of walls establish a ceremonial procession, animated by shifting light and shadow through the day.
Rejecting conventional sales-center models, the design elevates the homecoming experience. The Spring Art Gallery reimagines the classic “One Pond, Three Mountains” motif through contemporary art, with spatial restraint leaving intentional voids for future exhibitions.
Influenced by the Adachi Museum, the courtyard embraces simplicity: Mount Tai pines form the structural framework, white gravel defines a dry landscape, and naturally weathered Bai Po Huang stones are placed with deliberate precision—composing a scene of quiet elegance and enduring charm.
