Spring Mansion

The project is located north of the Yellow River in Jinan’s Daqiao Cluster Pilot Zone, the city’s new urban sub-center and vibrant start-up district. Drawing inspiration from the Yellow River’s natural and cultural legacy, it is designed as a living museum of native flora and fauna—a playful, ever-evolving space for discovery and celebration of nature. Modern urban dwellers crave both tranquility and refined social connections. Despite life’s challenges, returning home rejuvenates them, allowing them to shed their defenses, reconnect with family, and rediscover creativity and wonder with their children. Centering the child in the narrative of this essential-upgrade housing project, the design team transformed the sales center into a de-commercialized plant-and-insect experience hub, welcoming all ages and embodying the project’s ethos: after the city’s chaos, we return home to nature.
