Drawing inspiration from the raw, understated elegance of Japanese wabi-sabi and the clean, functional aesthetics of Scandinavian design, the space adopts a modern Japandi style as its central narrative. The result is a serene, warm, and layered living environment. Gentle curves flow throughout the interiors, complemented by select pieces of vintage furniture, subtly weaving the dialogue between past and present. Anchored in the principles of nature, health, and functionality, the design balances practicality with artistry, cultivating a home that radiates comfort and warmth while celebrating the simplicity of everyday living.
Every built-in cabinet is finished with rounded solid wood edge trim, seamlessly clad in matching natural wood veneer. The veneer application is executed in multiple stages, while the front panels are bordered with flat solid wood trim. This detail is a testament to precise craftsmanship, overcoming technical challenges and enhancing visual continuity and depth.
Natural wood veneer panels are applied to all wall and cabinetry surfaces throughout, infusing the space with tactile warmth. From both an environmental and aesthetic perspective, diatomaceous earth paint is used on all walls and ceilings. Key accent walls, such as the sofa backdrop in the living room, the left-hand side of the master bedroom headboard, and the study’s headboard wall, are finished with Italian mineral coatings. Above the living area, a magnetic track lighting system extends seamlessly from the entrance to the dining cabinet, with rounded corner detailing to guide both movement and the eye.
