In Kunming, the "City of Eternal Spring," a structure imbued with Oriental charm and local cultural context stands quietly. The Oriental Runqi Sales Office, akin to a refined urban parlor, is enveloped by a lush green courtyard. It masterfully blends the vitality of nature with interior elegance, silently narrating a story of the gentleness and tranquility unique to Yunnan.Upon entering, one is greeted by an atmosphere of understated and calm Oriental grace. The space is defined by dark wood veneers, establishing a grand and elegant foundation. The floor features a mosaic of black, white, grey, and brown stone, reminiscent of an abstract ink wash painting that guides visitors through the space. The designer avoids a conspicuous display of traditional symbols, instead cultivating a serene and profound modern Oriental ambiance through the precise manipulation of materials, light, and spatial arrangement. The spatial layout is ingeniously orchestrated around a sculptural water bar that serves as a central circulatory hub. It is not only the functional core but also the visual anchor, with all other areas—the negotiation zone, display area, and lounge—unfolding naturally around it. This creates a fluid and dynamic flow. This "meandering" design blurs the boundaries between functional zones while fostering an exploratory experience, much like strolling through a classical garden. An Exquisite Weaving of Local Culture The project's most distinguished feature lies in its profound exploration and innovative application of Yunnan's local culture. The designer skillfully extracts the region's exquisite brocade craftsmanship from traditional attire and artifacts, reinterpreting it as a unique language for wall decoration. The fine texture and warm touch of the brocade fabric create a subtle yet harmonious contrast with the dark brown wood veneer, infusing the calm space with a gentle, humanistic warmth. Complementing this, light beige and brown woven leather fabrics quietly echo the spirit of craftsmanship, enriching the space with abundant texture and depth.
