This project is the clubhouse design for a newly developed residential community in Wenzhou, China. The clubhouse is a modern-style building with two floors above ground and one basement level. Its conceptual inspiration is drawn from the refined and understated architectural language of the Song Dynasty in China.
The interior design continues this architectural narrative by distilling elements from traditional Chinese spaces and reinterpreting them into a modern, poetic living environment. Classical spatial techniques such as framed views, sequential layering, and scenic transitions are applied, while traditional materials—including handmade paper, patinated metal, and bluestone—are thoughtfully integrated into the design.
Unlike many clubhouses in the market that emphasize an accumulation of lavish details, this clubhouse focuses on the fluidity of space, the comfort of use, and the sense of warmth and familiarity associated with home.
The clubhouse program includes an entrance lobby and reception, an artisan display gallery, a tea lounge and reception hall, a sales center, a screening room, a chess and card room, a fitness center, a swimming pool, and private dining suites. Scheduled for completion in 2026, the project will establish itself as a unique and distinguished community clubhouse in the region.
