This residence reimagines spatial flexibility through bespoke planning and precise client dialogue. Every adjustment—down to the millimeter—was tailored from the owner’s preferences and lifestyle. The concept unfolds as a choreography of light, texture, and transformation, where living spaces shift fluidly between openness and intimacy.
Inspired by the client’s aesthetic sensibilities, the design introduces a custom rippled-glass sliding door that subtly modulates privacy and depth between the living and dining zones. A handcrafted solid-wood bookshelf doubles as a rotating partition, creating a secluded, castle-like study infused with British charm. The master suite blends extensive storage with a serene, restorative ambience that nurtures both body and mind.
Across the interior, curved forms, layered materials, and orchestrated lighting craft a dialogue between precision and emotion. The translucent track door connecting the foyer to the main space balances transparency and rhythm, expanding sightlines and enhancing calm. A sculptural lighting column near the sofa glows softly at night—an understated nod to Japanese minimalism. Ceiling level shifts, elliptical ceiling layers above the dining area, and gentle arcs throughout the cabinetry generate continuity and layered softness.
Defying conventional spatial limits, the project creates a multi-faceted home of refined diversity: the public area carries a cultured urban tone, the study recalls English classicism, and the bedroom distills Wabi-Sabi serenity. Like a mirage of overlapping times and moods, it is a contemporary dwelling that evolves with imagination and grace.
