Located in Beitun District, Taichung, the residence was designed for a young couple who desired a home that feels soft, bright, and soothing. Inspired by the homeowners’ love for creamy tones and gentle curves, the designers adopted “the arc” as the primary design image, merging Nordic warmth with an island-resort ambiance that allows daily life to unfold naturally amid shifting light and shadow.
Because the original layout lacked a designated dining area, the design team integrated the entry cabinet, sideboard, and storage units into a single continuous structure, achieving a balance of function and beauty within limited space. The result embodies a refined yet understated rhythm of living, where softness defines every transition.
The defining feature of the space is the use of curved lines throughout. From the L-shaped sideboard at the entry corner to the color-blocked cabinet doors and the rounded jewelry display case in the master bedroom, every curve carries a gentle continuity that unites the interior.
The turning cabinet beside the entry cleverly combines appliance storage and utility functions, ensuring fluid circulation even in the absence of a formal dining zone. The TV wall abandons bulky forms, using paint layering and linear composition instead to maintain clarity. Integrated wiring and horizontal extensions create an atmosphere of simplicity, while light flows softly along the curved edges, spreading from the entry corner to the living area, brushing gently across the milky-brown wall tones, like waves caressing sand.
In the master bedroom, the custom jewelry cabinet combines system panels and handcrafted woodwork, fulfilling the homeowner’s dream of a display collection while balancing budget and refinement. Throughout the home, light leads and the arc speak; every moment within is surrounded by quiet warmth.
