GlITTERING RIPPLE-XIYUE RECEPTION CENTER

Xiyue Reception Center, located on a zigzag island at the centre of the lake in Tianjin's Wuqing Central Lake Park, redefines the natural beauty of the island with a fantastic view provided by the new decoration of the rippling lake.

"A quiet lake mirrors the moon and flowers, and the mountains around it are reflected on the lake surface. When architect Luo Wei crossed the small bridge for the first time and walked onto the island at the centre of the lake in the gentle breeze, he was overwhelmed by the fantastic view of the rippling lake. The concept of "water view" cropped up in Luo Wei's mind and has since become the perfect idea he pursued during the implementation of the project.

"Water", a gift offered by nature to all lives on the earth, is soft and permeable. It is as clean as glazed white jade shining in the sunlight and looks like a silver belt inlaid with gemstones. It is calm and yet powerful.

Inspired by the natural beauty of the continuous curve of water waves, it is designed with the special curve structure used for continuous stacking installations to represent the charm of the fantastic free flow of light which provides a novel visual experience perceivable everywhere.

Arc is the most vivid design language in space and is also an important carrier of glittering water. Columns, ceilings and floors made of different materials and in different scales, simulate the state of natural mountains and rivers. Winding around, the glittering water attracts visitors to explore the mysterious nature.
