About The Entry

ITOCHU’s Beijing workplace reimagines the company’s core values—integrity, innovation, and collaboration—into a globally aligned yet locally rooted corporate environment. The project transforms an outdated layout into a modern, people-centric office that supports hybrid workstyles, focused tasks, and employee wellbeing while projecting a refined, forward-thinking brand presence. The design centers on “The Flow of Integrity,” inspired by ITOCHU’s long-standing spirit of responsibility and its dynamic global outlook. This idea is expressed through fluid spatial lines, soft lighting transitions, and a balanced palette of white, grey, natural wood, and ITOCHU’s signature blue. The interplay of natural daylight, biophilic elements, and crafted material textures creates a calm, composed, and trustworthy atmosphere befitting a global enterprise. A sculptural curved reception counter, paired with an illuminated logo, sets a confident tone upon entry. The Pantry & Social Hub forms the social heart of the office, featuring a warm timber island, cascading greenery, and flexible seating that encourages informal collaboration. Full-height windows maximize sunlight, while a branded green wall adds biophilic warmth and local relevance. Meeting and VIP zones combine technological sophistication and hospitality: acoustic wall treatments, integrated AV systems, and bright meeting rooms support seamless collaboration, while VIP spaces introduce refined timber, leather seating, and curated cultural artefacts suitable for executive discussions. The open workspace integrates ergonomic desks, blue acoustic dividers, and planter-lined storage to balance transparency with privacy, fostering productivity and comfort. Sustainable, low-VOC materials, smart lighting systems, and acoustic-enhancing finishes align the project with contemporary environmental expectations while enhancing daily experience. The design scope includes full interior design, 3D visualization, and procurement support, delivered through a 12-week design phase and a 16-week fit-out timeline. This project embodies ITOCHU’s commitment to modernity, responsibility, and human-centered innovation—setting a benchmark for the next generation of corporate workplaces.
