Design motivation

Pauline Moynat, the first female luggage manufacturer. At around the beginning of the 18th century, unlike other trunk manufacturers of her time, she was the first to notice a change in the way of carrying the trunks due to the widespread of automobiles and applied this observation to her design., even realizing a robust design to fit the new way of trunk carrying. We created the "Collection 1902" as a tribute to Pauline Moynat's bold and elegant innovation.

The Design Concept

The graceful curves of Pauline Moynat's design are not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical in use. they are designed to hang on a curved car while transportation. The Collection 1902 is named after this legendary design LIMOUSINE which was patent granted in the year 1902, and with the audio experience created by collection 1902, we’d like to convey the excitement of traveling with Pauline’s trunk and the historical value behind the design.

Materials

All speakers of” Collection 1902” were handcrafted using raw wood, fine leather, and fabric in an attempt to recreate the mood of the original design of Pauline Moynat.
