The Global Landmark Series – Cultural Packaging is a rational redesign of packaging for solar-powered outdoor power stations, created to address common issues of functional packaging: limited emotional value, short usage lifespan, and immediate disposal after unboxing. Without changing the original structure, materials, or production cost, the project enhances the packaging’s long-term value through design.
By introducing original illustrated reinterpretations of four globally recognized landmarks—the Statue of Liberty, Mount Fuji, the Great Wall, and Big Ben—the packaging gains cultural narrative and collectible qualities, fostering stronger emotional connection and sustained user engagement. The design retains the brand’s existing minimalist layout and clear information hierarchy, while establishing a scalable, modular visual system suitable for multiple SKUs and international markets.
The flip-lid is redesigned as a tear-off bookmark, allowing the packaging to remain useful after unboxing. The bookmarks can be used individually or assembled into a DIY pop-up album, increasing interaction and memorability without adding materials, processes, or cost. Through reuse, collectibility, and participatory value, the packaging evolves from a disposable container into a long-term brand touchpoint that integrates cultural expression, enhanced user experience, and sustainable value.
