Guangzhou Greentown The Blooming Park

The design integrates Lingnan cultural heritage with modern urban elements, blending traditional and contemporary aesthetics in a high-density urban environment. Drawing inspiration from Haizhu’s local culture, the project reinterprets the classic "Qilou" arcade, achieving a balance between history and modern lifestyle. The design incorporates both Haipai aesthetics and Lingnan elements, with refined materials and motifs that create warm, modern living spaces.
The lifestyle pavilion adopts a central axis with multiple courtyards, offering a dynamic experience as one moves through the space. The design reflects Haizhu’s historical architecture, blending Eastern and Western influences in a "New Nanyang Aesthetic." The Art Light Hall, inspired by Aman boutique hotels, uses light-and-shadow elements to integrate traditional lattice screens with modern decorative features.
The entrance, located along the southern riverside, provides a tranquil entry, surrounded by a scenic park and the preserved banyan tree plaza. Historic elements such as old stone slabs are retained, fostering an emotional connection to the past.
The layout is based on "One Axis, One Belt, Ten Courtyard Entrances, and Six Gardens," creating a holistic homecoming sequence across both aboveground and underground spaces. The buildings are arranged to maximize courtyard space and landscape design, with an open, semi-enclosed formation that enhances ecological integration. The design features an extensive canopy system, incorporating greenery and social spaces, softening the boundary between the community and the city.
By integrating Lingnan culture into modern architecture, the project avoids excessive symbolism, using contemporary materials and colors to naturally express traditional cultural elements. The architecture and landscape are designed with a sustainable strategy, prioritizing ecological integration, vegetation infiltration, and low-carbon operational performance. The result is a harmonious fusion of Eastern and Western influences, offering a unique living experience.
