Project Description
This project was born from the vision of a historic Arita ware kiln with over 400 years of tradition, which also operates its own café. The concept was simple in form, but rich in intent: to deliver both the dessert and the vessel as a single, integrated experience.
Unlike conventional parfaits served only in cafés, these mini parfaits are produced directly in Arita porcelain cups, frozen for delivery, and enjoyed at home after gentle thawing. From logistics and storage, to opening the box, tasting the dessert, and finally reusing the vessel, every step is carefully designed as part of a cohesive Packaging Experience.
The parfaits come in three flavors and cup colors:
• Ureshino Matcha (green)
• Arita Kumquat & Rich Chocolate (black)
• Saga-grown Strawberry “Ichigosan” (red)
Each cup features the kiln’s signature Ko-Imari pattern, a modern interpretation of traditional Japanese auspicious motifs.
