This project draws its spiritual essence from Nanjing’s Jinling cultural heritage, integrating the historical depth of the "Forty-Eight Scenic Spots of Jinling" into a contemporary design lexicon to craft a living environment that harmoniously balances historical gravitas with modern artistry.
The design reinterprets iconic Jinling motifs through a modern lens: textured stone walls emulate the weathered patina of the Ming Dynasty city walls; precisely articulated metal lines echo the rhythmic contours of traditional architectural eaves; and layered screen partitions embody the Jiangnan garden philosophy of "borrowed scenery," creating dynamic spatial dialogues between openness and enclosure that epitomize "Jinling elegance."
Artistically, the scheme centers on a "refined simplicity with understated luxury" ethos. A foundational palette of beige and light gray evokes the ethereal haze of Qinhuai River willows, while the interplay between natural stone and metal elements mirrors Jinling’s quintessential harmony of rugged mountains and delicate forests. The lighting strategy employs an "invisible source, visible glow" approach—concealed linear coves delineate spatial volumes, and discrete point sources scatter like stars—to conjure a poetic ambiance reminiscent of "moonlight upon the Qinhuai."
From the grandeur of double-height public zones to the tactile intimacy of private enclaves, every detail achieves a meticulous equilibrium between functional pragmatism and aesthetic sophistication. The result is a definitive expression of contemporary Jinling lifestyle aesthetics: luxury revealed through restraint, and abundance manifested in subtlety.
