New Campus of Mount Wuyi No.1 Middle School

The Youth Inspiration Space System of the new campus of Wuyi Mountain No.1 Middle School takes the spatial prototype of the traditional academy, "Enlightenment-Introspection-Tempering," as its core, undergoing contemporary adaptation and regional integration to create a narrative-driven spiritual education space. The innovation of the scheme lies in three aspects: First, the ritual enlightenment scene transforms the academy's "Gate of Rites-Pond" into a mirror-like waterscape integrating the imagery of Wuyi Mountain, creating a solemn and enlightening atmosphere. Second, the introspection and scholarship scene combines the "lecture hall-library" into a library and auditorium, metaphorically representing the introspective spirit of "scholarship as building a vessel" through a black porcelain "bowl-shaped" device. Third, the growth and tempering scene extends the "courtyard-back mountain" into a natural landscape belt, supporting the experience of "unity of knowledge and action." Meanwhile, it is supported by three types of spaces: health, cultural context, and resilience, forming a "core guidance-functional synergy" educational system. This design breaks through the homogenization dilemma of campus spiritual spaces, allowing regional culture to be integrated into daily life in implicit ways such as materials and craftsmanship, achieving the deep goal of "space as education" and providing an important paradigm for campus construction in cultural heritage sites.
