2026 Changhua Flower Festival-Flowing Floral Realm

“Flowing Floral Realm” serves as the central pavilion of the 20th anniversary of the Changhua Flower Festival. Structured around five exhibition zones inspired by the blooming cycle of a flower, the exhibition reflects Changhua’s transformation from emergence to growth over the past two decades.
The entrance unfolds as a prologue of time, where flowers intertwine with photographic film imagery and flowing water. Mist, fragrance, and layered light create an immersive atmosphere that evokes the city’s collective memory. The flowing sequence of “film frames” depicts the passage of time and the preservation of memories, guiding visitors on a visual journey through two decades of Changhua’s floral stories and shared moments. Surrounding installations inspired by hourglasses and flowing water further symbolize the passage of time and the continuity of life.
The exhibition begins with traditional farming tools symbolizing Changhua’s agricultural roots, with floral arrangements suspended in mid-air. These traditional farming tools are creatively transformed into planting vessels, highlighting the diverse agricultural characteristics of different regions. The narrative then extends to local textile craftsmanship, reclaimed grapevine branches, and the plumbing and hardware industry. Featuring faucet-inspired designs, the exhibit spans twenty years, intertwining industrial development with natural vitality. Floral spatial compositions merge natural textures with industrial frameworks, articulating Changhua’s transformation from agricultural roots to innovation-driven and sustainable growth.
An interactive projection mechanism integrates visitors’ floral creations into the environment, allowing imagination to shape the city’s future vision. Visitors step into a sensing area, draw their own flower, and see it instantly appear through a scanning system. With a gentle touch, flowers respond with rippling light effects or drifting petals. Dreamlike visuals created through projection mapping surround visitors, providing a fully immersive experience.
The journey concludes with the concept of a “floral gift,” symbolizing the collective energy and dedication Changhua has built over the past twenty years. The overall design resembles a journey of flowers through time—from the land into people’s hands—carrying blessings, warmth, and heartfelt intentions. Through the gentle charm and emotional language of flowers, this exhibition shares twenty years of Changhua's beauty as a meaningful “floral gift” to every visitor.
