The project is situated in Qingdao, where the natural endowments of mountains and water and the humanistic cultivation have nurtured the city's unique amorous lifestyle and urban aesthetics. The project aims to convey a restrained and simplistic philosophy of living attentive to humans' practical inner needs and blending with humanistic arts and thoughts and feelings for nature.
The project designer condenses elements in unique ways, embodying Zen connotations in every object, petal, and tree so that residents feel the leisurely and quality life and spur their infinite yearning for homecoming.
With the Liubai technique, the design has combined the fresh and elegant wood color with modern elements, kept the Chinese symmetry, and created a space brimming with traditional charm based on the aesthetic and functional needs of modern people.
What we need is not only a space formed by the assembly of colorful lines, furniture, and soft furnishings, but also living scenes with profound and long-lasting artistic and cultural connotations, so that residents freely perceive the spirit and beauty of the space.
With the exquisiteness of the timbers, it has depicted the warmth and purity of the space. Using the hazy ink, it has created contemporary humanistic elegance.
We advocate the integration of art into daily life, so that design can truly return to the needs of life. We bring Eastern humanity's essence into the present to create a poetic way featuring the dialogue between humans and nature.
This simple and elegant space, in terms of design, follows the overall gray tone. It is restrained without losing its steadiness. The design integrates traditional lifestyles such as painting, calligraphy, Guqin (a long, seven-stringed zither), tea tasting, and others into the space. The walls are hanged with aesthetic paintings mounted from works by Jin Nong.
Harmonious colors and textures enable the space to be "full of details featuring aesthetic elegance." The designer hopes that "Star Valley" will bring warm and pleasant feelings and become a harbor where residents can dock at any time.
