This project centers on the core concept of "Spirit of Yangzhou · Root of Modernity", integrating Yangzhou's profound historical and cultural heritage with contemporary aesthetic values and sales center functions to create an elegant experience with a sense of belonging, comfort, and luxury. The project eschews mere revival of the past; instead, it reinterprets Eastern wisdom in a contemporary language, allowing the space to whisper Yangzhou's refined charm and silently convey Eastern poise and elegance—paving the way for an ideal home where hearts find peace and emotions find belonging.
In terms of spatial design, the project draws inspiration from "Elegance of the Grand Canal", incorporating water elements with wall lamps and sand table lights in an ingenious way, symbolizing the fluidity and inclusiveness of Yangzhou, an ancient capital along the Grand Canal. Through the use of transparent materials and layered lighting, it crafts a flowing and tranquil atmosphere, enhancing the poetic and cultural ambience of the space. In doing so, the sales center evolves from a mere exhibition space into a contemporary expression of the city's memory.
The project integrates Yangzhou's distinctive tea culture into the sales circulation, where professional tea tables and arrangements create a laid-back atmosphere inspired by the local custom of enjoying morning tea and dim sum, extending the duration of customer stay and deepening their emotional connection with the space. Spatial art installations ingeniously incorporate elements of Yangzhou's landmark architecture, crafted using mortise and tenon joints to enhance cultural recognition. The cabinetry in the underground clubhouse ‌draws upon‌ bamboo paintings by Banqiao, skillfully leveraging traditional metal wire craftsmanship to weave Yangzhou's cultural heritage into modern spatial design.
In terms of sustainability, the value of a neo-Chinese-style sales center lies not in its outward appearance, but in enabling cultural memories to renew themselves through environmental technology and ecological experiences. This project leverages low-carbon materials, energy-efficient systems and circular operation to turn the space into a value model that bridges history with the future, and commerce with humanity.
