Guilin Songcheng Theme Park Landscape Design

Located in Yulong river scenic area, Yangshuo county, Guilin city, covered an area of 0.11 square kilometers, the site is surrounded by mountains and farmland. Since there is no other entertainment project nearby, our clients decided to establish this theme park to make a difference from others.

Combining Yangshuo’s native culture and Guilin’s unique scenery, our client uses its distinctive buildings, performance and media tech to establish the theme park called ‘The Romance of the Song Dynasty’.

Main entrance landscape zone design

Entrance uses the elements of SONGCHENG’s unique opera house, song dynasty gate and liusanjie temple. Headed with the singing fairy ‘liusanjie’ sculpture, which has a sunbird at each four side, implied her songs echoed in Guilin’s scenery. Characteristic totem-poles are set at both sides of landscape avenue, combined with local border trees to create a strong local feeling. Using distinguished local culture elements such as old banyan trees, typical local material such as thatch and local construction technology to create a naturally atmosphere.

Yangshuo historical village design

The village is arranged in a ’井’ pattern, integrate with local culture, creative commercial activities and local performance. We blended Guangxi folk culture elements into the entrance gateway to show tourists its unique townscape. Stone mortar, wood pile, farm tools are also used to make it more interesting.

Bayfront park design

Combined with riverscape, riverside walkway, banyan trees and artificial lake where aquashow is held, bayfront park is designed to be a good place to have fun with water.

Recreation complex design

Dozens of entertainments such as jungle adventure, robotic cube, bumper car make it a good place to enjoy family time.

NO.1 theater landscape zone design

Theater uses red as main color, combines with totem-poles, fountain and local culture elements to enhance tourists’ feeling. ‘The Romance of the Song Dynasty’ theme show and 5D interactive experience show are also held in here.
