Xuanwu Lake Project

Xuanwu Lake scenic spot is located in Nanjing, China, with a total area of 5.31 square kilometers and a lake area of 3.78 square kilometers. It has beautiful scenery and a long history of humanity, and it is the only remaining imperial garden in the south of the Yangtze River. Therefor it is one of the most characteristic tourist attractions of Nanjing and one of the most popular outdoor places for leisure and entertainment.

According to the characteristics of the Xuanwu Lake, our team mainly considered three elements during the design process: the continuity of historical heritage; the combination of design style and modern city;and the environmental protection.

First of all , the Xuanwu Lake and the surrounding high-rise buildings, mountains, city walls, platforms and other landscape elements are unified though lighting design to enrich the perspective and jointly form a landmark night scene image. The outline of the lake shoreline, which is fully illuminated by the night scene, looks like a love heart, so we call it "the heart of the Xuanwu Lake" .This is the most unforgettable night scene of the Xuanwu Lake. At the same time, the city wall of Ming Dynasty with the most historical and cultural characteristics of Nanjing is emphasized by using the layers of light and color, reflecting the urban characteristics of blending ancient and modern.

Second, through the unified construction of the green plants around the lake, the island in the center of the lake and the intercontinental bridge, the lake layout with rhyme boundary and clear block surface is presented. And the intelligent control system is used to realize the dynamic change of light to simulate the beautiful scenery of the lake in different seasons, so that people can enjoy the four-season scenery image overnight.

Thirdly, in terms of the energy saving and sustainable development, the products used in this project are all LED lighting products. By using the intelligent control system, the brightness and lighting mode of night view can be automatically adjusted in different time and different flow rate of people, which achieves good energy-saving effect.
